FAQ

About 70% of vehicle breakdowns are due to electrical power system component failures, such as battery, alternator, regulator, starter, alternator driving belt or power circuit. If your car ' s electrical system breaks down, leaving you miles away from assistance, you will realize the importance of VEPS or EPS.

VEPS is the most advanced vehicle electrical system monitoring and warning system currently available in the world. It detects and warns users of faults before the problem happens. Developed with patented technology, it helps drivers avoid inconvenience and incurring losses due to electrical system breakdowns. Indirectly, it reduces traffic jams, improves road usage and vehicle reliability.

VEPS performs the following system check whenever the ignition key is turned on or engine is running:

  1. Electrical power supply system self check,
  2. Battery voltage and charge status check before cranking,
  3. Battery and starter power matching and cranking capability check,
  4. Perfect electrical operating condition check,
  5. Electrical power usage condition check,
  6. Battery cells condition, discharging and charging condition check,
  7. Alternator operating condition and charging capability check,
  8. Alternator and battery capacity matching check,
  9. Driving belt slacking condition check,
  10. System recovered acknowledgement check.

EPS gives early warning to alert users the following critical problems:

  1. Battery low capacity , unmatched with starter or load warning,
  2. Battery plates or cells damaged warning,
  3. Battery poor cranking capability warning,
  4. Battery overcharged warning,
  5. Battery failing soon, battery plates aging or sulphated, or poor inter-cell joint warning,
  6. Battery bad condition, low acid level or low acid specific gravity warning,
  7. Alternator under size or unmatched with battery or load, or driving belt faulty warning,
  8. Alternator faulty , i.e. rectifier, regulator, carbon brush or slip ring failure warning,
  9. Electrical power supply circuit quality warning,
  10. Switch off Unnecessary Power Usage (UPU) warning.
